This Art Deco necklace of square-cut faceted amethyst crystals set in silver-tone frames with a delicate chain is probably sterling, but it is unmarked. It closes with a filigree fish-hook clasp. Please note that the color saturation of the crystals is even ― any differences in the photos are due to lighting. This necklace would look great with my Amethyst & Sterling Art Deco Bracelet and my Amethyst & Silver Filigree Art Deco Earrings.
The pavé center is surrounded by aquamarine rhinestones on this brooch that Adolph Katz designed and Coro named Diadem. It has a gold-plated woven border with a roll-over safety-clasp and a loop that allows the piece to be worn as a necklace. An advertisement for a demi-parure in the same design but with all clear rhinestones, reproduced in Marcia Brown's book on Coro, reads: "Diadem Jewels by Coro ... To cast a lovely light about you, an aura of excitement, a glow of elegance ... first magnitude jewels at their starriest heights". Included with the brooch is the gold-plated double snake chain with a diamanté-adorned push-in clasp that accompanied it but may not be original to the brooch. The snake chain was made for a very slender neck, so please note the chain length (14 1/4") and check your neck size before ordering this piece.
Five strands of aquamarine glass beads in various shapes and sizes, some with filigree end-caps, are joined with Russian gold filigree caps at each end of the bejeweled clasp. The color is just stunning! This necklace was made for a slim neck. Please note the necklace length (the shortest strand is 14") and measure your neck before purchasing this piece.
Aquamarine baguette and pink round rhinestones adorn this gold-plated mesh disc with elaborate bow that can be worn as a brooch or pendant. This Retro piece by Lampl has a roll-over safety clasp.
Glass baroque pearls and black beads hand-wired onto gilt metal panels comprise this elegant necklace with a screw-barrel clasp. This necklace would make a lovely accessory for a bridal, wedding, prom or other special occasion outfit.
This elegant French necklace in the style of Louis Rousselet or Madame Gripoix has elongated faux baroque pearls separated by clusters of faux pearls and blue glass beads. It has an adjustable hook and tail closure. We have earrings that look lovely with this piece.
This blue and green glass bead necklace is another example of Hattie Carnegie's extraordinary flare with beads. Here most beads are bi-color. The shapes and sizes vary, and the predominant colors are interspersed with white and clear beads and clear crystal spacers. This necklace has substantial weight and an adjustable hook-and-tail clasp.
Clusters of blue opaque glass beads and rectangular brass links form this fun Art Deco necklace. It has lots of movement and is great for casual wear. This necklace closes with a spring-ring clasp.
The glass beads in this 2-strand choker by Hattie Carnegie look like blue from a distance, they are actually pale blue, white and clear all in the same bead! In between the beads are twisted gold-tone spacers. The necklace has an adjustable hook-and-tail clasp. Take a look at the pair of Carnegie earrings that coordinates well with this necklace.
This 8-strand Hattie Carnegie necklace with faceted glass beads in two shades of blue is right in style. The ornate leaf-shaped, gold-plated clasp is a work of art, with layers of flowers and leaves, embellished with a faux pearl, blue rhinestones and a dangling bead in the same color. Even the back of the leaf has veins — another indication of Carnegie's quality and attention to detail. You can twist the strands for a torsade or wear them straight for a longer look.
