Amethyst & Diamanté Earrings from Austria
1930s Jewelry, Unsigned Jewelry, Vintage EarringsThese vintage amethyst earrings feature three rows of vertically-set stones. In the middle are two deep-purple baguettes with a round diamanté on top and a faceted, teardrop-shaped diamanté at the bottom. On either side of the middle, the pattern is repeated but with a single baguette. The setting is rhodium-plated metal shaped to hold the stones together, making each pendant one piece. A single, faceted, round diamanté sits at the earlobe. These 1930s Art Deco earrings from Austria are all-original screw-backs and can be modified for pierced ears. The color combination is rich, regal, and easy-to-wear.USD$295.00USD$295.00Aquamarine & Gilt Sterling Filigree Theodor Fahrner Bracelet
1930s Jewelry, Fahrner Jewelry, Vintage BraceletsThis Theodor Fahrner bracelet is spectacular! Each gilded-sterling silver link with corded wire spirals holds a collet-set faux aquamarine. This fabulous Art Deco jewel is an excellent example of the type of filigree this maker is known for. The book cited as a reference indicates that the filigree pieces were made post-1932, but the same source dates the maker’s mark to the 1920s. I don’t think the date matters – this bracelet is exquisite! It has a box clasp and safety catch. 1930s Jewelry, Unsigned Jewelry, Vintage BraceletsThis vintage charm bracelet has black-and-white Bakelite cubes that dance on either side of the metal center. The decorated chrome links form a tank-track pattern and close with a spring-ring clasp. To some people, these charms resemble a type of licorice candy (whose name I don’t know). To me, this piece says 1930s Europe. It’s definitely fun to wear!USD$495.00USD$495.00Black & White Marbled Glass Bead Necklace
1930s Jewelry, Louis Rousselet Jewelry, Vintage NecklacesThis black and white beaded necklace is a lovely take on this color combination. What appear as white glass beads are actually clear glass with white swirls. The variation in shape and size of beads adds to the beauty of this substantial piece. The beads and black spacers are strung on chain. This jewel closes with a barrel clasp marked "Made in France". All of these features identify this stunning jewel as made by Louis Rousselet. It has been authenticated. Once part of my personal collection, this stunning necklace is always a classic.USD$395.00USD$395.00Black Bakelite & Diamanté 1930s Earrings by Schreiber & Hiller
1930s Jewelry, Schreiber & Hiller Jewelry, Vintage EarringsAt the top of these 1930s earrings is a link with engraved sides that holds seven diamantés. At the bottom is another diamanté-set link flanked by black Bakelite (or Galalith) on three sides. In the middle is a single stone. Each earring has a small chip of Bakelite at the bottom, but that minor flaw in no way detracts from their beauty. The original ear clips were converted to sterling silver ear wires with lever backs for pierced ears by my expert jeweler. 1930s Jewelry, Schreiber & Hiller Jewelry, Vintage BraceletsVintage Bakelite jewelry as beautiful as this German flexible bracelet from the 1930s is hard to find. It has vertical links of diamanté alternating with black Bakelite. The stones in this piece are relatively large – only four to each flat-top link. This Art Deco bracelet closes with a concealed clasp. Because one of the markings is "Patented" (an English word stamped by a German maker), I think this bracelet was intended for export. 1930s Jewelry, Schreiber & Hiller Jewelry, Vintage NecklacesA beautiful example of Machine Age design that you will love. This vintage black Bakelite necklace features six curved links set with diamantés that alternate with Bakelite (or Galalith) links with pointed tops. Because the jeweled links are curved, the centerpiece follows the curve of your neck instead of laying out in a straight line. A scroll chain with a spring-ring clasp completes this elegant and easy-to-wear necklace that I always enjoyed. You can see it on my favorite model in this blog post.
