Quickview Double-Clip Brooches, 1940s Jewelry, Ciro Jewelry
This fine vintage Ciro brooch is a dainty and exceptionally well-made 1940s piece by this well-known, long-standing British company. The design of furled sterling silver ribbons set with diamanté reflects the romanticism of the decade. Wear this piece as a brooch or as separate dress clips. This double-clip brooch is the only one I’ve seen with a brooch mechanism that frames the entire piece. Ciro pieces were not inexpensive. A 1941 Vogue ads shows a gold-plated, sterling silver and diamanté double-clip brooch for $25.
