    Crystal & Silver Necklace

    This crystal and silver necklace has stones that are faceted on top and have pointed bottoms. Each is set in an etched silver-tone-metal frame. This stunning, well-made 1920s Art Deco classic is elegant and versatile to wear – it goes with everything! • Sterling silver crystal necklace in Art Deco-style
    Art Deco-style crystal chicklet necklace
    $ 295

    Crystal & Sterling Art Deco-Style Necklace

    , ,
    This sterling silver crystal necklace is a 1950s revival of the Art Deco chicklet. These faceted, square-cut crystals are set in angled frames, adding to the sparkle and uniqueness of this piece. This necklace closes with a concealed clasp; its style tells me this piece was produced in Japan in the early 1950s. After the war, Japan produced a lot of high-quality costume jewelry for export. This beautiful necklace sparkled on the runway at Toronto Fashion Week for Spring 2019. Crystal Art Deco Pendant Earrings

    , ,
    These Art Deco crystal earrings are long pendants that end with beautiful princess-cut stones. Each is topped with a trio of diamanté. Two smaller ones are separated by white-metal links. The large stone at the top was originally the face of the sterling silver screw backs. My expert jeweler replaced them with sterling silver wires with lever backs for pierced ears. If the 2 ½” length isn’t to your liking, you could have the lever-back wires replaced with posts. The length would then be 1 ¾”. These lovely earrings were part of my personal collection. They go with absolutely everything!

    Crystal Bead & Sterling 1920s Drop Earrings

    , ,
    Dainty and elegant, these 1920s earrings feature a faceted crystal ball dangling from a fine sterling silver chain. The framed glass stone that fronts the screw back appears to have darkened only because the attachment of the mechanism doesn't allow light to pass through it. The screw backs can be modified for pierced ears. These earrings go with absolutely everything and can be worn with all color palettes! Scroll down to see a selection of necklaces and brooches to wear with this lovely pair.

  • Vintage crystal bead earrings with onyx
    Long crystal bead & onyx Art Deco earrings
    $ 295

    Crystal Bead Earrings with Onyx

    , ,
    These vintage crystal bead earrings are formed from a faceted, lantern-shaped bead that dangles from a row of crystal beads separated by onyx disks. At the top is a filigree plaque. The original screw-backs were replaced by sterling silver ear wires with lever backs for pierced ears by my expert jeweler. I like long earrings, so I had the lever-backs added above the filigree. If these earrings are a bit too long for you, a jeweler could remove the lever-backs and add a sterling post to the back of the filigree. These Art Deco earrings are from my personal collection. The construction of this Art Deco piece is outstanding. White metal frames hold the stones, and the edges of the triangle frames are etched. Three faceted, square-cut crystal chicklets dangle in these charming 1920s earrings. A diamond-shaped chicklet is set at the earlobe. These all-original screw-back earrings can be modified for pierced ears. The mountings and findings may be sterling silver, but only the screw-backs are marked. Because the dangling crystals are separated by rings, these earrings have lots of movement and light reflection. Crystal Dangle Earrings with Chicklets

    , ,
    These crystal dangle earrings from the 1920s are absolutely gorgeous! Long and elegant, they feature square-cut and round stones in metal mounts, in what is known today as chicklets. Two sets of round stones dangle from the pair of square ones. As was common in the early part of the last century, the left and right earrings are complementary, to frame your face properly. These Art Deco earrings were part of my personal collection. The original screw-backs were replaced with sterling silver wires with lever backs for pierced ears by my expert jeweler. What a great pair for a wedding, special occasion, or any time you want to look classy! In fact, this pair walked the runway at Toronto Fashion Week for Spring 2019. Diamanté & Silver Vintage Dangle Earrings

    , ,
    These vintage dangle earrings are diamanté-encrusted with faceted, square-cut stones at the earlobe and as the focal point in the drop. Long and luxurious, these all-original Art Deco pendants have gold-colored ear wires with shepherd hooks for pierced ears. I am unaware of their metal content. I think these beautiful earrings are European in origin. Though stamped "SILVER" on the earring backs, I don't think the settings are sterling. Pieces like these are difficult to photograph, and the earrings are much brighter and more sparkly than the photos indicate. • Diamanté brooch with scrolls & swirls
    Diamante 1940s brooch
    $ 225

    Diamanté Brooch or Pair of Dress Clips with Scrolls

    , ,
    This diamanté brooch, which can also be worn as separate dress clips, may be European in origin. The curvy design makes me think the piece is from the 1940s, which was the height of the popularity of the double-clip brooch. Although it is marked “SILVER”, I don’t think this brooch is sterling. Nevertheless, the workmanship is excellent, and the sparkle remains.

    Diamanté Dress Clips or Brooch

    , ,
    These diamanté dress clips have a mechanism that allows them to be worn together as a brooch. Set in rhodium-plated metal, each clip looks like a vase of flowers to me. The stones are foil backed. The lines are graceful, and the combination of round and navette stones with baguettes is lovely. This piece is unsigned but well-made.
