  • Art Deco jade earrings with diamante accents
Front of Art Deco jade pendants
    USD$195.00

    Jade & Diamanté Pendant Earrings

    , ,
These lovely and delicate Art Deco jade earrings feature molded-glass stones that simulate carved jade. The square stones are set at an angle in silver-tone metal embellished with diamanté. Minor wear to some corners is not visible when these earrings are worn. The original screw-backs were converted to sterling silver ear wires with lever backs for pierced ears by my expert jeweler. If you don’t have pierced ears, scroll down to see jade Art Deco earrings with screw-backs.

Jade Bead Art Deco Chandelier Earrings

    , ,
These Art Deco chandelier earrings feature a circle of pale jade glass beads suspended from a triangle of silver-tone chain dotted with additional beads. A single bead pendant hangs within each circle, and a matching larger disk is set where it will adorn the earlobe. Lavishly-long (3-inch), this pair is possibly Czech in origin. These all-original screw-back earrings can be modified for pierced ears.

    Jade Bead Dangling Earrings

    , ,
These vintage jade earrings from the 1920s are fashioned from small jade-glass beads that hang from five brass chains. They are suspended from a domed larger jade-glass button designed to fall at the earlobe. Lots of movement here! These all-original Art Deco earrings have screw-backs, which can be modified for pierced ears.

    Jade Drop Earrings

    , ,
These jade drop earrings are made from molded glass that simulates carved stone. Lusciously-detailed with a silver-tone metal cap, each pendant has small jade-glass beads that lead to the stone at the earlobe. The setting is silver-tone metal. These all-original earrings have screw-backs, which can be modified for pierced ears. Jade was a very popular element in Art Deco jewelry. A soft color for today's woman who looks best in warm hues.

    Lapis & Diamanté Dangling Earrings

    ,
These Art Deco-style earrings are a bit of a mystery. Based on what I’ve seen in Ginger Moro’s book (European Designer Jewelry, p. 49), I’m guessing that this pair was made in Europe in the 1980s from vintage materials. Each rounded-triangular-shaped lapis-glass drop is embellished with diamante and a rectangular onyx-glass stone. The ear wires with lever-backs are original to the earrings and unmarked. Regardless of their date of manufacture, these earrings from my personal collection are distinctive and beautiful. Scroll down to see the same design in camphor glass.

  • Lapis and silver pyramid necklace
Art Deco necklace with molded sugar-loaf stones
    USD$295.00

    Lapis & Silver Pyramid Necklace

    , ,
This lapis and silver pyramid necklace has molded sugar-loaf glass stones set in silver-tone frames alternating with silver-tone triangular plaques. This motif illustrates the world's fascination with all things Egyptian in the 1920s. This necklace, which closes with a spring-ring clasp, was in my personal collection. Lapis & Sterling 1920s Bracelet

    , ,
This lapis bracelet features sugar-loaf stones (3/8" high) set in sterling silver that alternate with square glass links in a darker blue. The links and settings are sterling silver. This type of bracelet was called a slave bracelet when it was made in the late 1920s and 1930s. This piece, which closes with a spring-ring clasp, is from my personal collection. I’m reluctantly offering it for purchase. Scroll down to see some lapis Art Deco pieces that look lovely with this jewel.

Lapis Bead Czech 1930s Drop Earrings

    , ,
A pair of lapis glass beads, each capped with flower-petal-shaped metal, form these Art Deco drop earrings from the former Czechoslovakia. The lower bead is 1/2-inch in diameter. The size and color make these earrings a bit bolder in effect than pieces from the 1920s. The original screw-backs were replaced with sterling silver posts for pierced ears by my expert jeweler. • Lapis blue earrings with large 'carved' pendants
    Close-up view of earring front
    USD$245.00

    Lapis Panel 1930s Pendant Earrings

    , ,
These lapis blue earrings are formed from molded-glass panels that look like carved gemstones. The flower motif in the blue-glass pendants is present in the silver-tone metal components that connect the pendant to the earring top. These all-original, unusual earrings have screw-backs, but they can be modified for pierced ears. Because these Art Deco earrings are 2″ long and bold (the glass panels are 3/4-inch squares), I would wear these drops with only an Art Deco bracelet – scroll down to see a selection. This versatile color is perfect for those who look best in cool hues.

Lapis, Marcasite & Sterling German Bracelet

    , ,
The lapis (glass?) stones set in sterling silver with marcasite links are an interesting shape and color. The stones may look more like sodalite than lapis lazuli, because they don't have the brassy specks usually found in the latter. Whatever the case, the color is fabulous, and the workmanship is typical of the high-quality pieces produced in Germany before World War II. This lovely jewel closes with a concealed clasp with a safety catch. Lipstick-Red Glass & Diamanté 1920s Earrings

These fun Art Deco earrings, which feature lipstick-red marquis-shaped glass drops with diamanté accents in a chrome-like setting, are most likely European in origin. These all-original earrings with ear wires with lever backs for pierced ears are constructed of unknown metal. Lipstick-Red Glass & Filigree Necklace with Dangles

    , ,
A faceted, square lipstick-red-glass stone is the focal point of this fun 1920s Art Deco necklace. Faceted triangular stones with filigree panels flank the centerpiece and also form a two-part drop. The paper-clip chain closes with a spring-ring clasp. The metal is chrome or chromium plate. Although the side of one triangle has a tiny dent, it cannot be seen when the necklace is worn. Scroll down to see a wonderful pair of earrings with lipstick-red stones that complements this piece.

The focal point is formed with black-glass beads that are thicker, faceted and graduated in size. Onyx & Crystal 1920s Bar Brooch

    , ,
Faceted, rectangular onyx-glass and crystal stones form the body of this Art Deco bar brooch. Each end has a faceted, onyx-glass triangle. The silver-tone metal setting has cut-outs, creating a checkered pattern with the stones. They are all open-back, and the workmanship is superb. The trombone clasp and unusual design make me think this brooch is European in origin. I also think the setting is sterling silver, but the mark is unreadable. Scroll down to see Art Deco earrings and bracelets that coordinate beautifully with this jewel. Black-and-white, so popular in the Twenties, never goes out of style!

  • Art Deco swag necklace with onyx, diamante & filigree

    USD$165.00

Onyx, Diamanté & Filigree Art Deco Swag Necklace

    , ,
This Art Deco swag necklace features an octagon-shaped onyx-glass stone in the center of the lower strand. On either side is a faceted, diamond-shaped diamanté, with a third in the center of the upper strand. Decorative filigree links in two patterns separate the stones. Even the surface of the chain links is textured. This delicate, chromium-plated necklace from the 1920s closes with a press-back filigree clasp. Even though one diamanté is slightly yellowed (much less so than the photos suggest), these stones have retained lots of sparkle.

Onyx, Emerald & Diamanté Dangling Earrings

    , ,
Onyx-glass hoops attached to emerald-green-enamel and diamanté-embellished panels of silver-tone metal form these lovely and versatile earrings. Additional diamanté adorn the earlobe. The ear wires for pierced ears are original, but the lever backs are unmarked. These earrings are probably European in origin. Though Art Deco in style, something about this pair makes me think they may be from a later Revival era. Nevertheless, they are beautiful!
