Amethyst & Diamanté 1930s Austrian Earrings
1930s Jewelry, Unsigned Jewelry, Vintage EarringsThese vintage Austrian earrings feature three rows of vertically-set stones. In the middle are two deep-amethyst baguettes with a round diamanté on top and a faceted, teardrop-shaped diamanté at the bottom. On either side of the middle, the pattern is repeated but with a single baguette. The setting is rhodium-plated metal shaped to hold the stones together, making each pendant one piece. A single, faceted, round diamanté sits at the earlobe. These 1930s Art Deco earrings are all-original screw-backs and can be modified for pierced ears. The color combination is rich, regal, and easy-to-wear.USD$295.00USD$295.00Amethyst Earrings by Elsa Schiaparelli
1940s Jewelry, Elsa Schiaparelli Jewelry, Vintage EarringsThese amethyst costume earrings by Elsa Schiaparelli feature the single, large, emerald-cut stones that were so popular in the 1940s. Although classic and classy, this pair of ear clips is really hard to photograph. The stones are open back (without any green, as the photos may suggest) in a silver-tone setting. The actual color is a deep purple. The faux pearl bracelet with a similar clasp by the same maker, which came with the earrings, will be included with this purchase. (The clasp of the bracelet is lovely, but the quality of the pearls is disappointing, and the strands need re-stringing – hence, the no-cost offer.) Earrings like these never go out of style!USD$175.00USD$175.00Aquamarine & Vermeil Sterling Flower Petal Earrings by Pennino Bros.
1940s Jewelry, Pennino Bros. Jewelry, Vintage EarringsThese lively flower petal earrings with aquamarine-glass-stone centers were made by Pennino Bros. in the 1940s. The curled, flirty flower petals in gold-washed sterling silver are the same shape and finish this maker used in a series of 1947 brooches, called Sunburst. The stone settings are the same as their Bulrush brooch and earrings set from the same year. According to Brunialti, the patent pending mark on the earrings refers to the clip mechanism. These designs were not patented. These details are just for background – these ear clips are divine! And by facing each other, they frame your face to perfection.USD$225.00USD$225.00Baroque Pearl French 1950s Earrings
1950s Jewelry, Louis Rousselet Jewelry, Vintage EarringsThese baroque pearl earrings have a large, cream-colored glass pearl center encircled by a ring of small, matching round pearls. Though these 1950s earrings are unsigned, the construction (especially the ear-clip mechanism) and materials are consistent with those used by Louis Rousselet. (His pieces were usually only signed with paper hang tags.) These earrings would make a lovely accessory for daytime, evening, or bridal/wedding/prom wear.USD$225.00USD$225.00Black Bakelite & Diamanté 1930s Earrings by Schreiber & Hiller
1930s Jewelry, Schreiber & Hiller Jewelry, Vintage EarringsAt the top of these 1930s earrings is a link with engraved sides that holds seven diamanté. At the bottom is another diamanté -set link flanked by black Bakelite on three sides. In the middle is a single stone. Each earring has a small chip of Bakelite at the bottom, but that minor flaw in no way detracts from their beauty. The original ear clips were converted to sterling silver ear wires with lever backs for pierced ears by my expert jeweler. Blue Art Glass & Diamanté Drop Earrings
1920s Jewelry, Unsigned Jewelry, Vintage EarringsThese vintage drop earrings feature blue art-glass teardrops with faint striations and filigree caps. They fall from links of baguettes and round diamanté set in silver-tone metal. The original screw-backs were converted to sterling silver ear wires with lever backs for pierced ears by my expert jeweler. These unusual Art Deco earrings are a lovely shade of blue. Although the diamanté are ageing, the blue stones – which are the star attraction – are perfect. I bought these earrings for my personal collection, but I'm reluctantly offering them for sale. They're the perfect adornment for a woman who looks best in cool colors.USD$245.00USD$245.00 Blue Bead & Pearl Dangling Hobé Earrings

1950s Jewelry, Hattie Carnegie Jewelry, Vintage EarringsThese blue bead earrings by Hattie Carnegie are an imaginative example of the style that was so popular in the 1950s. They are formed by clusters of blue-glass beads in varying shapes, tones, sizes and finishes. The combination adds dimension to these ear clips. A few of the beads are iridescent because of their aurora borealis coating. Scroll down to see the Blue Glass Bead 2-strand Choker by the same designer. 1950s Jewelry, Elsa Schiaparelli Jewelry, Vintage EarringsThese brown and gold topaz earrings by Elsa Schiaparelli feature multiple stones in a gold-tone setting. At the top, a large, faceted, round golden-topaz-glass stone is positioned to adorn your earlobe. This stone is linked to a smaller, faceted, round brown-topaz-glass stone, which is connected to the setting of the pendant. This focal point – the pendant – is a large, faceted, open-back, brown-topaz-glass stone in an ornate setting. Its top is crowned with diamanté; the bottom rests on a scroll accented with another brown topaz. Please note that the dark striations in the large stones shown by my camera are not visible when the earrings are worn. Though not signed with the maker’s name, these ear clips are marked with the utility patent for one type of finding Schiaparelli used. The design of these pendants is undoubtedly hers – the matching signed bracelet has been sold. Unsigned Jewelry, Vintage EarringsThese camphor glass earrings were made in the Art Deco style and were very difficult to photograph in the hanging position. The camphor glass is more opaque than the first picture suggests; the second is a more accurate depiction. The pendants are embellished with diamanté triangles and rectangular onyx-glass stones. The ear wires with lever-backs for pierced ears are original to the earrings and unmarked. I have seen similar earrings in Ginger Moro’s book (European Designer Jewelry, p. 49) described as being made from vintage components. From my perspective, the date of their manufacture doesn’t detract from the elegance and glamour these earrings provide the wearer. Scroll down to see the same design in lapis.
