    Full view of screw-back earrings
    USD$275.00

    Citrine Pendant Earrings

    , ,
These citrine pendant earrings from the mid-1920s are probably Czech in origin. What’s really unique is the metal inlays in each glass drop, which give the appearance of marcasites. The faceted, domed stone at the top (designed to fall at the earlobe) is the same color as the bead and drop. These all-original, Art Deco screw-back earrings are rich in color and can be modified for pierced ears. Scroll down to see a pair that has already been converted as well as coordinating pieces.

  • Diamante & citrine bangle bracelet in sterling
Leach & Miller citrine & diamante bracelet
    USD$345.00

Citrine, Diamanté & Sterling Bangle by Leach & Miller

    , ,
This citrine bangle bracelet features sets of five faceted, round deep-citrine (or golden-topaz) glass stones alternating with five faceted diamanté. The stones are channel-set in narrow, curved sterling silver with engraved edges. The ends meet with a pair of diamanté-set scrolls rather than a clasp. Longer than the typical bracelet of this era, this Leach & Miller creation may have been designed to be worn on the upper arm, as a so-called slave bracelet. You can wear it now either way – simply pull apart the ends to put it on. This unusual jewel is perfect for a woman who likes to wear warm colors. • Vintage wreath brooch & earrings set by Alice Caviness
Oval brooch w/layers of stones & leaves
    USD$395.00

Citrine, Golden Topaz & Mother-of-Pearl Brooch & Earrings Set

    , , ,
This vintage wreath brooch and earrings set by Alice Caviness features amazing layers of components wired onto a decorative brass frame. Included are citrine- glass stones in multiple shapes and sizes, faceted golden-topaz beads, mother-of-pearl disks, aurora borealis diamanté, and textured brass leaves. The jeweled frame of the brooch is mounted on another that holds the pin and roll-over safety clasp; each earring has a round filigree back with the ear clip. The complexity of the design and construction seen here are often present in this maker’s work, which I believe is underrated. This set is definitely not for the faint-hearted! I will include the matching bracelet, which has only three of its four strands of beads, but it is wearable. Scroll down to see a similar pair of earrings by Caviness.

  • Crystal bangle bracelet by H. Payton (Payco)

    USD$275.00

Crystal Bangle Bracelet by H. Payton

    , ,
This crystal bangle bracelet by H. Payton is a style that was all the rage in the 1920s. The company is best known by their PAYCO mark. Bracelets like this one were available in many colors of glass to imitate gemstones. With open-back faceted, square-cut stones to let light pass through, this piece goes with everything. It also looks great with other bangles and/or line bracelets of the era. Women typically wore multiple bracelets back then, and I confess that I’ve adopted that practice as part of my own personal style. This bracelet was made for a slim wrist, so please note the inside circumference (6 3/4″) and check your wrist size before purchasing this piece. A few of the stones have tiny chips, and there's a space between the stone next to the hinge and the metal (shown in the last photo). • Diamante earrings shaped like flowers by Miriam Haskell
Miriam Haskell ear clips with diamante centers and beaded petals
    USD$325.00

Diamanté & Bead Flower Earrings by Miriam Haskell

    , ,
These flower-shaped diamante earrings are much more beautiful than the photos convey. Six petals formed from tiny clear- and grey-glass bi-color beads wired together surround each large, faceted, round diamanté center. Designed by Frank Hess, this elegant pair features the style and workmanship that characterize Miriam Haskell pieces. The use of French ear clips dates these earrings to no earlier than the late-1940s, but I think the style is more 1950s. You can wear this pair for a special occasion or with everyday attire – they go with everything! They even sparkled on the runway at Toronto Fashion Week for Spring 2019!

Diamanté & Gold Disk Brooch & Earrings Set by Pennino Bros.

    , , , ,
These gold disk earrings and brooch were made by Pennino Bros. in the 1950s. Pavé disks intersect and overlay the scored disks of gold-tone metal, which remind me of open fans. The layered design and construction of this set are characteristic of exceptional makers like this one. The brooch closes with a roll-over safety clasp. Note that about 1/4″ of the pavé disk on each ear clip will sit below your earlobe. Wear these lovely earrings and brooch together or separately, to create different looks.
