Citrine & Sterling Bow Brooch
1940s Jewelry, Unsigned Jewelry, Vintage Brooches & PinsThis citrine pin has a gorgeous faceted, square-cut yellow-orange stone as its focal point. Its sterling silver bow, a popular motif during the 1940s, is further embellished with emerald-cut glass stones in a paler shade of yellow. This brooch closes with a roll-over safety clasp. What's unusual about this high-quality piece is that it is unsigned and that the sterling is not gold-washed (which was more typical of Retro Modern jewels like this one). The photos show this brooch in the horizontal and vertical positions. You decide which way to wear it!USD$295.00USD$295.00Citrine & Vermeil Sterling German Brooch
1930s Jewelry, Unsigned Jewelry, Vintage Brooches & PinsThis vintage German brooch in gold-washed sterling silver is highly-decorated. Its focal point is a flower with a faceted, round citrine-glass stone at the center. The twisted metal decoration on the sides gives this piece a bit of a Machine Age-feel. The markings indicate that this brooch was handmade in Germany, using sterling with a higher silver content (935) than the 925 North American standard. Please note that gold plating on the center flower is in tact, even though the photos suggest wear. A petite and lovely jewel.USD$185.00USD$185.00Citrine & Crystal 1920s Tiered Necklace
1920s Jewelry, Unsigned Jewelry, Vintage NecklacesThe design and construction of this tiered necklace, a variation on the 1920s chicklet-style, is first class. Golden yellow, square-cut glass stones alternate with oblong crystals to form the necklace and tiered centerpiece. Round dangling citrine-glass stones add the movement that was so essential in the Art Deco era. All of the stones are faceted and mounted in decorated, silver-tone metal. The construction makes me think this piece was made in Europe. This divine jewel, which I initially purchased for myself, closes with a spring-ring clasp. The top features faceted, emerald-cut citrine-glass stones, baguettes, and round diamanté, all set in connected, rhodium-plated frames that form a spiral. The intricate construction, as seen on the back, along with the use of two tones of metal are hallmarks of the designer. This brooch has a roll-over safety clasp and can be worn in any direction you choose. Notice that the maker’s name (Rice-Weiner) does not appear on McClelland Barclay-designed pieces.USD$295.00USD$295.00Citrine & Diamanté Spray on Gold Leaf Brooch
1950s Jewelry, Elsa Schiaparelli Jewelry, Vintage Brooches & PinsThis citrine pin by Elsa Schiaparelli is a lovely example of 1950s tailored jewelry. A richly-textured, gold-plated leaf forms the base. The top layer has citrine-glass-stone flowers with pavé silver-tone stems. The level of detail is superb: in addition to the elaborate, layered construction, the leaf has visible veins and a furled bottom on its front as well as texture on the back. I’m not sure which way this jewel was intended to be worn, so I’m showing both orientations in the photos – take a look and decide which you prefer.USD$395.00USD$395.00Citrine & Sterling Brooch & Earrings Set

Three stems of flowers with citrine-glass navette centers sit on top, and three tiny navettes tie the stems together. This 1940s Retro Modern creation has a roll-over safety catch. 1950s Jewelry, Alice Caviness Jewelry, Costume Jewelry Sets / Parures, Vintage Brooches & PinsThis vintage wreath brooch and earrings set by Alice Caviness features amazing layers of components wired onto a decorative brass frame. Included are citrine- glass stones in multiple shapes and sizes, faceted golden-topaz beads, mother-of-pearl disks, aurora borealis diamanté, and textured brass leaves. The jeweled frame of the brooch is mounted on another that holds the pin and roll-over safety clasp; each earring has a round filigree back with the ear clip. The complexity of the design and construction seen here are often present in this maker’s work, which I believe is underrated. This set is definitely not for the faint-hearted! I will include the matching bracelet, which has only three of its four strands of beads, but it is wearable.
