1930s Jewelry, Fahrner Jewelry, Vintage BraceletsThis Theodor Fahrner bracelet is spectacular! Each gilded-sterling silver link with corded wire spirals holds a collet-set faux aquamarine. This fabulous Art Deco jewel is an excellent example of the type of filigree this maker is known for. The book cited as a reference indicates that the filigree pieces were made post-1932, but the same source dates the maker’s mark to the 1920s. I don’t think the date matters – this bracelet is exquisite! It has a box clasp and safety catch. Long and luxurious, these all-original Art Deco pendants have gold-colored ear wires with shepherd hooks for pierced ears. I am unaware of their metal content. I think these beautiful earrings are European in origin because of their exceptional quality, their fasteners, and the "SILVER" stamp on the back. 1940s Jewelry, 1950s Jewelry, Vintage Earrings, Vintage Miriam Haskell JewelryThese milk glass earrings with beads and disks, rondelles, and gold-tone findings have a real Machine Age-look and associated movement. However, the use of French ear clips dates them to the late-1940s, and the white beads may take them into the 1950s, when white jewelry was extremely popular. I still consider this pair to be Art Deco in style, and I’ve seen the same motif used by this designer (Frank Hess) on earlier Miriam Haskell pieces. Whenever they were made, these ear clips are lots of fun! I saw them in an entirely new, bright, and glamorous light when they were chosen to walk the runway at Toronto Fashion Week for Spring 2019. See them on the model who looked stunning in a bridal jumpsuit with skirt. 1930s Jewelry, Vintage Bracelets, Wachenheimer Bros. JewelryThis Wachenheimer Bros bracelet has faceted, square-cut onyx-glass stones channel-set in sterling silver, with engraved edges and diamanté-studded clasps. This jewel was made in two sections, with identical fold-over clasps in both places. The type of clasp dates this piece to the early 1930s, after the company stopped using their Diamonbar trademark and near the end of their production. This bracelet was made for a slim wrist, so please note the bracelet length (6 7/8″) and check your wrist size before purchasing this piece. 1950s Jewelry, Louis Rousselet Jewelry, Vintage EarringsThese glass bead earrings have clusters in greens, purples, and reds, along with tiny faux pearls. This pair was made by Louis Rousselet, according to Ginger Moro (author of European Designer Jewelry and a Rousselet expert), who sold them to me. Though marked "Charlin" on the ear clips, Moro stated that these pendants are "a re-issue of an earlier design from the '50s using vintage glass beads and pearls". This maker's beads are highly-coveted because they were all hand-wound and finished. The colors and design make this pair very versatile and easy to wear for day or evening.USD$375.00USD$375.00Pearl & Glass Flower Earrings
1950s Jewelry, Unsigned Jewelry, Vintage EarringsThese vintage flower earrings have clusters of tiny faux pearls with glass flowers and leaves. The design and style of the beads remind me of the work of the French maker Louis Rousselet, but I can't attribute this pair to that company. The construction and findings are inconsistent with documented work by the firm. Although these earrings are unmarked, I believe they were made in France or somewhere in Europe. I also think the beads probably came from the Rousselet workshops, which were a major worldwide supplier of hand-made beads. These earrings are so lovely and unique, I don't think their maker really matters. Please note that although these ear clips are not mirror images, the lack of symmetry – which is not unusual in hand-strung pieces – does not detract from their appearance. What a great choice for a bride!USD$375.00USD$375.00Pearl Basket Dangle Earrings from France
1950s Jewelry, Louis Rousselet Jewelry, Vintage EarringsThese pearl basket earrings were possibly made by Louis Rousselet, based on the horseshoe-shaped ear clip he typically used. Each pendant has a basket of glass pearls suspended from a large, single pearl. It's held in place by a cluster of glass pearls mounted on a round, white-metal filigree back. This part is designed to adorn the earlobe. These ear clips are as perfect for a wedding, prom, or special occasion as they are for everyday wear. Add a single strand of pearls and look extraordinary!USD$345.00USD$345.00Pearl Bracelet with Diamantés in Sterling by Eisenberg
1940s Jewelry, Eisenberg Jewelry, Vintage BraceletsThis vintage pearl bracelet is substantial, well-made, and stunning. Each link has a large glass pearl sitting atop a ring of diamantés set in sterling silver. The design is similar to the maker’s Cornucopia brooch and earrings but on a larger scale. This late-1940s jewel, which closes with a box clasp and safety chain, is another statement piece. You can wear it with the Diamanté & Sterling Sunburst Earrings, also by Eisenberg, which are similar in design – scroll down to see them.USD$595.00USD$595.00Pearl Brooch with Emerald Beads
1950s Jewelry, Unsigned Jewelry, Vintage Brooches & PinsThis vintage pearl brooch was made in France in the 1950s. It has faux pearls and emerald-glass beads in various shapes and sizes, all hand-wired onto a gilt-metal filigree back with a trombone clasp. This unusual three-dimensional creation reminds me of the work of Louis Rousselet. Although I haven't seen documentation showing any brooches by this company, the high quality of the pearls and beads suggest that these parts (if not the design and production) came from the Rousselet workshops. This spectacular piece is right for day or evening wear. Although the back of one pearl is peeling, this tiny blemish doesn't diminish the beauty of this jewel. For a unique look, how about wearing this piece as a wedding accessory – on the bride's gown or in her hair? 1950s Jewelry, Louis Rousselet Jewelry, Vintage EarringsThese pearl cluster earrings resemble bunches of grapes. Each is suspended from a large glass-pearl button mounted on a white-metal filigree back. Though unsigned, these ear clips have the horseshoe-shaped fastener typically used by Louis Rousselet. The button-topped mounting reminds me of his button-topped box clasps for necklaces. Moreover, the unusual shape of the glass pearls could only have been made by someone of his caliber. Because Rousselet jewelry was rarely signed on the pieces and because so little has been documented, I can't be sure if these earrings were designed by him or made by another company using his beads. Either way, these beautiful earrings are right for day, evening or bridal/wedding/prom wear. You can see these jewels on my favorite model in this blog post. 1950s Jewelry, Louis Rousselet Jewelry, Vintage EarringsPearl and gemstone earrings by Louis Rousselet are a welcome and versatile addition to any jewelry wardrobe. These 1950s French ear clips feature faux pearls in various sizes, with accents of ruby, sapphire, emerald and amethyst hand-wound-glass leaves along with rondelles. Though unsigned, these earrings match a signed necklace and earrings set that I have moved from my personal collection to offer for sale. The type of ear clip used is another clue to the creator, who usually signed his pieces with only paper hang tags. Rousselet was the premier faux pearl and bead maker in the first half of the 20th century. These earrings are a beautiful example of his work. Although the coating on some pearls appears to have bubbles, I think they are intended. The sterling petals on one side are furled; those on the other side feature a beautiful open-work design that is known as fretwork. You can wear the pair together on the shoulder of a dress or jacket, or on either side of a collar. What a lovely adornment for a bride's hair! These brooches were hand-made. Although they’re marked “DESIGN PAT’D”, I have been unable to identify a design patent that looks like them.USD$295.00USD$295.00Ruby & Aurora Borealis Brooch by Elsa Schiaparelli

In person, this piece looks like a display of fireworks – the iridescence of the navettes is hard to capture in photos. The setting of this 1950s Elsa Schiaparelli jewel is silver-tone metal with a roll-over safety clasp. Even the back of the brooch is textured! This piece features pairs of facing scroll-shaped links adorned with diamanté. Each pair is separated by a pair of faceted, oval, prong-set ruby-glass stones. The result is an Art Deco classic. The two blue-enamel links on each end make me think this piece is European in origin. This necklace closes with a spring-ring clasp. The original silver-tone finish is worn in places, so much of the brass is showing.
