These pearl cluster earrings resemble bunches of grapes. Each is suspended from a large glass-pearl button mounted on a white-metal filigree back. Though unsigned, these ear clips have the horseshoe-shaped fastener typically used by Louis Rousselet. The button-topped mounting reminds me of his button-topped box clasps for necklaces. Moreover, the unusual shape of the glass pearls could only have been made by someone of his caliber. Because Rousselet jewelry was rarely signed on the pieces and because so little has been documented, I can't be sure if these earrings were designed by him or made by another company using his beads.
