This black Bakelite (or Galalith) brooch has a curved centerpiece topped with a collet-set diamanté. Each end features three rows of slightly-curved links with channel-set stones. The components are attached to a rhodium-plated metal back. This piece closes with a trombone clasp. The design and construction remind me of jewelry created by the German makers Schreiber & Hiller in the 1930s. Although the channel-set stones have aged a bit, this brooch is still a stunner! Diamanté Tank Track German Bracelet
Vintage Bracelets, 1930s Jewelry, Unsigned JewelryThis German bracelet features four rows of slightly curved, tapered links channel-set with diamanté. The rhodium-plated setting closes with a concealed clasp and safety catch. Although this piece is unsigned, the tank-track pattern and the bracelet’s construction remind me of pieces made by German companies in the 1930s. This bracelet may have been made in the early 1950s, when the German companies were re-establishing themselves after the war. This bracelet was made for a slim wrist. Please note its length (6 7/8") and measure your wrist before purchasing this piece. Scroll down to see coordinating pieces.USD$345.00Black Bakelite & Diamanté 1930s Earrings by Schreiber & Hiller

Black Bakelite & Diamanté 1930s Earrings by Schreiber & Hiller
Schreiber & Hiller Jewelry, Vintage Earrings, 1930s JewelryAt the top of these 1930s earrings is a link with engraved sides that holds seven diamantés. At the bottom is another diamanté-set link flanked by black Bakelite (or Galalith) on three sides. In the middle is a single stone. Each earring has a small chip of Bakelite at the bottom, but that minor flaw in no way detracts from their beauty. The original ear clips were converted to sterling silver ear wires with lever backs for pierced ears by my expert jeweler. Black Bakelite & Diamanté Flexible Bracelet by Schreiber & Hiller
Schreiber & Hiller Jewelry, Vintage Bracelets, 1930s JewelryVintage Bakelite jewelry as beautiful as this German flexible bracelet from the 1930s is hard to find. It has vertical links of diamanté alternating with black Bakelite. The stones in this piece are relatively large – only four to each flat-top link. This Art Deco bracelet closes with a concealed clasp. Because one of the markings is "Patented" (an English word stamped by a German maker), I think this bracelet was intended for export. Vintage Bracelets, 1930s Jewelry, Unsigned JewelryThis diamanté silver bracelet has two rows of long, slender, slightly-curved links of channel-set stones. Each link is trapezoid in shape. A single row of slimmer, short, pointed-top connecting links is in the middle. The setting is rhodium-plated white metal. This bracelet closes with a concealed clasp and safety chain. This piece is unsigned, but it reminds me of the work of the German company Schreiber & Hiller. I think this bracelet was made in the 1930s, but it could have been made around 1950, when German companies were re-emerging after the war. Scroll down to see some complementary pieces.USD$295.00
