The slender, barrel-shaped beads in this camphor glass necklace are flanked by small, round chrysoprase beads. Each trio is connected with tubular white-metal links that form a Y. At the bottom is an inverted V-shaped white-metal element that is embellished with marcasites and that holds five rows of fringe. This lovely 1920s sautoir is lightweight. It closes with a box clasp and safety catch. This wonderful Art Deco jewel – which I believe originated in Europe – is from my personal collection.
