The design and construction of this tiered necklace, a variation on the 1920s chicklet-style, is first class. Golden yellow, square-cut glass stones alternate with oblong crystals to form the necklace and tiered centerpiece. Round dangling citrine-glass stones add the movement that was so essential in the Art Deco era. All of the stones are faceted and mounted in decorated, silver-tone metal. The construction makes me think this piece was made in Europe. This divine jewel, which I initially purchased for myself, closes with a spring-ring clasp. Citrine Pendant Earrings
Vintage Earrings, 1920s Jewelry, Unsigned JewelryThese citrine pendant earrings from the mid-1920s are probably Czech in origin. What’s really unique is the metal inlays in each glass drop, which give the appearance of marcasites. The faceted, domed crystal at the top (designed to fall at the earlobe) is the same color as the bead and drop. These all-original, Art Deco screw-back earrings are rich in color and can be modified for pierced ears. Vintage Bracelets, 1930s Jewelry, Wells JewelryThis 1930s Wells sterling bracelet features a centerpiece of four faceted, cushion-cut citrine-glass stones set in silver frames. Four filigree panels are linked to each side of the center, which is finished with an outline of the stones. The detail on the front and back of this bracelet is extraordinary. The links that hold the panels together give it a bit of a Machine Age-feel and enhance the articulation of the piece. This well-made bracelet closes with a concealed clasp. A truly stunning and unusual piece! Citrine, Diamanté & Sterling Bangle by Leach & Miller
Vintage Bracelets, 1920s Jewelry, Leach & Miller JewelryThis citrine bangle bracelet features sets of five faceted, round deep-citrine (or golden-topaz) glass stones alternating with five faceted diamanté. The stones are channel-set in narrow, curved sterling silver with engraved edges. The ends meet with a pair of diamanté-set scrolls rather than a clasp. Longer than the typical bracelet of this era, this Leach & Miller creation may have been designed to be worn on the upper arm, as a so-called slave bracelet. You can wear it now either way – simply pull apart the ends to put it on. This unusual jewel is perfect for a woman who likes to wear warm colors. Vintage Earrings, 1920s Jewelry, Unsigned JewelryThese dangling crystal earrings from the 1920s are formed by three faceted, square-cut chicklets, with a diamond-shaped stone set at the earlobe. These all-original screw-back earrings can be modified for pierced ears. The mountings and findings may be sterling silver, but only the screw-backs are marked. Because the chicklets are separated by rings, these earrings have lots of movement and light reflection. These Art Deco jewels sparkled on the runway at Toronto Fashion Week for Spring 2019. Simmons JewelryThis vintage Art Deco bracelet by Simmons, a company known for their innovation, has rectangular dark-citrine-glass stones set in the center of alternating panels of sterling silver filigree. The clasp on this piece is unique and secure. This bracelet is wider than most of its filigree counterparts, which makes me think it may be an early 1930s piece.
