Citrine & Onyx 1950s Earrings by Elsa Schiaparelli
1 1/2" x 1"
"Schiaparelli" (in script) and "PAT 2583988"
Utility patent # 2,583,988 (for earring clasp) issued to Frederick A. Ballou, Jr. & Rogers T. Stafford in 1952 (application filed in 1949)
This design of two faceted pale-citrine-glass stones with a black leaf fruit salad stone and a round aurora borealis stone was named Champagne Morning. The setting is gold-tone with clip-backs. The combination of colors, shapes and types of stones is just lovely. Great for all seasons!
