Crystal & Sterling Art Deco-Style Necklace
17 1/2" x 1/2"
This sterling silver crystal necklace is a 1950s revival of the Art Deco chicklet. These faceted, square-cut crystals are set in angled frames, adding to the sparkle and uniqueness of this piece. This necklace closes with a concealed clasp; its style tells me this piece was produced in Japan in the early 1950s. After the war, Japan produced a lot of high-quality costume jewelry for export. This beautiful necklace sparkled on the runway at Toronto Fashion Week for Spring 2019. Vintage Earrings, 1920s Jewelry, Unsigned JewelryThree faceted, square-cut crystal chicklets dangle in these charming 1920s earrings. A diamond-shaped chicklet is set at the earlobe. These all-original screw-back earrings can be modified for pierced ears. The mountings and findings may be sterling silver, but only the screw-backs are marked. Because the dangling crystals are separated by rings, these earrings have lots of movement and light reflection. These Art Deco jewels sparkled on the runway at Toronto Fashion Week for Spring 2019. Vintage Earrings, 1920s Jewelry, Unsigned JewelryThe pendant in these well-made Art Deco earrings is a large, faceted open-back crystal in the shape of an elongated hexagon. It is set in an elaborately-detailed silver-tone frame embellished with a triangle-shaped crystal and marcasites. This pair of 1920s earrings is really unusual and very versatile. The screw-backs can be modified for pierced ears. This pair looks lovely with many pieces in the boutique – scroll down to see a selection.USD$245.00
Vintage Earrings, 1920s Jewelry, Unsigned JewelryThese crystal dangle earrings from the 1920s are absolutely gorgeous! Long and elegant, they feature square-cut and round stones in metal mounts, in what is known today as chicklets. Two sets of round stones dangle from the pair of square ones. As was common in the early part of the last century, the left and right earrings are complementary, to frame your face properly. These Art Deco earrings were part of my personal collection. The original screw-backs were replaced with sterling silver wires with lever backs for pierced ears by my expert jeweler. What a great pair for a wedding, special occasion, or any time you want to look classy! In fact, this pair walked the runway at Toronto Fashion Week for Spring 2019. Vintage Bracelets, 1920s Jewelry, H. Payton JewelryThis crystal bangle bracelet by H. Payton is a style that was all the rage in the 1920s. The company is best known by their PAYCO mark. Bracelets like this one were available in many colors of glass to imitate gemstones. With open-back faceted, square-cut stones to let light pass through, this piece goes with everything. It also looks great with other bangles and/or line bracelets of the era. Women typically wore multiple bracelets back then, and I confess that I’ve adopted that practice as part of my own personal style. This bracelet was made for a slim wrist, so please note the inside circumference (6 3/4″) and check your wrist size before purchasing this piece. A few of the stones have tiny chips, and there's a space between the stone next to the hinge and the metal (shown in the last photo).
