This Art Deco line bracelet by Wachenheimer Bros. bears their Diamonbar trademark and high-end design and components: a faceted, emerald-shaped sapphire-glass stone surrounded by diamanté. This centerpiece is flanked by lines of diamanté, all set in sterling silver. This bracelet sold for $19.50 in 1926, when the average household income in the U.S. was less than $29.00 per week. The last photo shows this design on a page of the wholesaler’s catalog. Pieces with the Diamonbar trademark are highly-coveted today because of their exceptional quality. This one has lovely detail and excellent articulation. When the bracelet is being worn, the sapphire stone is brighter and livelier than the photos suggest.
