Golden Topaz & Vermeil Sterling Flower 1940s Brooch by Coro

1942-1947 (based on use of sterling, per Brunialti)
"STERLING CRAFT BY Coro" (name in script)
Oval, faceted golden-topaz glass stones form the flower on this graceful, large gold-plated sterling silver brooch by Coro. The tilt of the blossom and the furled leaves make this piece look as though it is blowing in the wind. Joan Crawford wore a similar brooch at the throat of her blouse in a scene in Mildred Pierce.
