This flower brooch pin is a graceful, large gold-plated sterling silver jewel created by CoroCraft, the company’s high-end line. Oval, faceted golden-topaz-glass stones form the flower that sits atop the stem. The tilt of the blossom and the furled leaves make this piece look as though it is blowing in the wind. This stylized design was very popular in the 1940s. Joan Crawford wore a similar brooch at the throat of her blouse in a scene in Mildred Pierce.
