Green Bead & Chrome Necklace
16 1/2" x 3/4"
This faceted green bead necklace from the 1930s is probably European in origin. A large, spring-green-glass bead capped with textured metal shaped like flower petals is the centerpiece. Textured chrome balls along with green-glass beads (two flower-shaped with caps, two round ones without) continue up the textured chain to the spring-ring clasp. This playful jewel has a Machine Age-feel. An unusual and delightful piece for a woman who likes to wear warm colors in any season. Scroll down to see a coordinating bracelet.
Vintage Bracelets, 1930s Jewelry, WMF JewelryAn unusual example of vintage German jewelry, this silver link Machine Age bracelet was made by Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF). This German company is best known for its Art Nouveau and Art Deco silver-plated tableware. This silver-plated link bracelet from the Ikora line closes with a concealed clasp.
