"STERLING" on back of 2 silver links

This lapis bracelet features sugar-loaf stones (3/8″ high) set in sterling silver that alternate with square glass links in a darker blue. The links and settings are sterling silver. This type of bracelet was called a slave bracelet when it was made in the late 1920s and 1930s. This piece, which closes with a spring-ring clasp, is from my personal collection. I’m reluctantly offering it for purchase. Scroll down to see some lapis Art Deco pieces that look lovely with this bracelet.

Lapis Panel Art Deco Pendant Earrings

    , , ,

Molded lapis-blue-glass panels that look like carved gemstones form these unusual Art Deco pendant earrings. The flower motif in the blue glass is present in the silver-tone metal components that connect the glass to the earring top. These all-original earrings have screw-backs, but they can be modified for pierced ears. Because these earrings are 2″ long and bold (the glass panels are 3/4-inch squares), I would wear these drops with only an Art Deco lapis bracelet – scroll down to see a selection.

Lapis & Celluloid Bead French Art Deco Necklace

    , ,

This substanial French Art Deco necklace has tear-drop-shaped lapis glass beads that alternate with molded dark blue celluloid(?) beads and decorative brass spacers. The beads and spacers are strung on chain, which has stretched a bit. This stunning and unusual necklace closes with a bee-hive screw-in clasp, so typical on French pieces. This necklace was part of my personal collection. The colors are amazing! Scroll down to see a bracelet to wear with this piece.

Lapis Bead Czech Art Deco Drop Earrings

    , , ,

A pair of lapis glass beads, each capped with flower-petal-shaped metal, form these Art Deco drop earrings from the former Czechoslovakia. The lower bead is 1/2-inch in diameter — the size and color make these earrings are a bit bold in effect. The original screw-backs were replaced with sterling silver lever-backs for pierced ears by my expert jeweler. Scroll down to see a selection of Art Deco lapis pieces to wear with these earrings.
