These vintage flower earrings have clusters of tiny faux pearls with glass flowers and leaves. The design and style of the beads remind me of the work of the French maker Louis Rousselet, but I can’t attribute this pair to that company. The construction and findings are inconsistent with documented work by the firm. Although these earrings are unmarked, I believe they were made in France or somewhere in Europe. I also think the beads probably came from the Rousselet workshops, which were a major worldwide supplier of hand-made beads. These earrings are so lovely and unique, I don’t think their maker really matters. Please note that although these ear clips are not mirror images, the lack of symmetry – which is not unusual in hand-strung pieces – does not detract from their appearance. What a great choice for a bride!
