Sapphire Bead & Rondelle Pendant Earrings
2 1/8" x 1/2"
"STERLING" on screw-backs
These sapphire blue drop earrings are classy and long. Each has a blue rondelle (I had never seen a colored one before!) sandwiched between a pair of faceted, sapphire-glass beads. They are capped at each end with decorated silver-tone metal, and the pendants are suspended from silver-tone chain. A small diamanté is designed to adorn each earlobe. These all-original screw-back earrings can be modified for pierced ears. The backs of the screws are marked sterling, but I don’t know if the rest of the silver findings are as well. These lovely earrings can be worn anywhere, anytime and are perfect for those who look best in cool colors. Vintage Bracelets, 1920s Jewelry, Unsigned JewelryThis vintage bangle bracelet is one of the first pieces I bought for myself when I started collecting only Art Deco jewels. It features three square sapphire glass stones alternating with three diamanté, all channel-set in sterling silver. This bracelet closes with a concealed clasp and safety chain. This narrow bracelet can be worn on its own or paired with others from the era. This piece is as versatile as they come and as chic today as it was when it was made in the 1920s. When viewed from the front, the pattern appears more complex – somewhat like a honeycomb. The top of each pendant has a diamanté set in decorated white metal. Vintage Bracelets, 1920s Jewelry, Granbery JewelryThis sterling silver filigree bracelet by Granbery is a fine example of a style that was very popular in the 1920s. With its sapphire-glass baguettes and diamanté accents, this piece has the same construction and appearance as its fine jewelry counterpart. The excellent articulation and clasp with safety catch are the hallmarks of high-quality. Although one of the baguettes has a small surface chip, my expert jeweler has confirmed that the stone is firmly set. The bracelet looks perfect when worn. Granbery advertised their flexible bracelets in the June 1925 issue of The Keystone, a jewelry trade publication.
