This gold vermeil brooch shaped like a bow is another outstanding example of Boucher’s work. The pavé curls, open-work sides, and square-cut, faceted sapphire-glass stones that form the knot showcase his attention to detail. This type of design – graceful, cut-out metal adorned with gems – was inspired by fine jewelers of the era. This piece closes with a roll-over safety clasp.
