Turquoise Brooch with Pate de Verre Flowers

Turquoise Brooch with Pate de Verre Flowers

Additional information

Miriam Haskell

3" x 2 1/4"

1930s (based on solid metal plate back)

None (Haskell used only paper hang tags until late-1940s)

Gordon & Pamfiloff, p.70; see #27 on "Haskell Unsigned Clips & Pins" page on Gordon website

This turquoise brooch has pate de verre flowers mounted on a base of two large, textured, silver-tone lily leaves. Additional silver-tone beads and textured elements embellish the intricate design. The closure is a simple C-clasp. The design is by Frank Hess, and the materials and construction are Haskell all the way. This beautiful jewel is from my personal collection. Scroll down to see a lovely bracelet by the same maker to wear with this piece.
