TruFaux Jewels is owned and operated by me, Barbara A. Schwartz, and is located at 2255B Queen St. East, Toronto, Ontario, M4E 1G3, Canada. I sell high-quality vintage costume jewelry mainly via this website but also at special events and by appointment in the Toronto area. I also provide several types of services: jewelry styling for brides, jewelry styling for a special occasion, and jewelry box audits.
Buying from Me
All of the pieces on my website are vintage, which means they have been pre-owned and loved. Vintage pieces are rarely in mint condition and may show signs of age and use. I try to convey any flaws through my photographs and descriptions, so please look at the pictures and read the description, condition, and size information carefully. Size is especially important for necklaces and bracelets. If you are in doubt about a piece, please e-mail your questions by using the Contact form. I am happy to help you find the jewelry that will best suit your needs.
Prices on this site are in two currencies. The default is U.S. dollars for buyers in the U.S. and other countries except Canada. If you don’t see the U.S. flag and “USD” displayed at the top of your screen, use the drop-down menu to change the currency. If you live outside of Canada, you must use this option.
If you live in Canada, you should see the Canadian flag and “CAD” displayed at the top of your screen. If the U.S. flag is shown, use the drop-down menu to change the currency. I have added this option so that 1) you will know the exact amount that will be charged to your Canadian dollar credit card, and 2) you will not incur additional fees from your credit card company. I do not charge HST or GST to Canadian residents.
You can pay directly with Visa or MasterCard via my SSL-secured (128-bit) server. After you have reviewed and completed your purchase, you will be e-mailed a receipt.
All prices on this site include insured shipping from Toronto to an address in the U.S. or Canada. If you live elsewhere, an additional $50 (U.S. currency) will be added to your purchase automatically. All packages are shipped via Canada Post Xpresspost with tracking. Your signature is required upon delivery.
Purchases made in-person may not be returned. If you wish to return a purchase made via this website, you must contact me by using the Contact form within three calendar days of receipt of the item for my return authorization. Items must be returned in the same condition as shipped, sent back to me fully insured, and received by me within 14 calendar days from your notice of return. I will then issue a refund to the credit card used for your purchase, minus a re-stocking fee of 20% of the purchase price. I do not refund return postage. The fee paid for any of my services is non-refundable.
